Camping in Morges, Switzerland

TCS Camping Le Petit Bois is a beautiful place to stay for camping in Switzerland. If you are looking for everything close by and still have beautiful views of the Swiss mountains then this place is for you. And let me tell you, it is not just Swiss mountains you get to see, but the beautiful Mont Blanc as well! In the picture below, you see Mont Blanc in literally the white colour, and this all year long no matter how hot it can get, no wonder it is named Mont blanc!

When I say everything close by, I mean everything, like you have the train station close by, just a walk away, grocery stores, and even other attractions for day time activities such as two big beautiful castles and some museums. It is located right next to the downtown of Morges, the old town, and the port of Morges.

The campsite also has a swimming pool in there and playground for children. But you also have the beautiful lake Geneva right in front as well, in which I found a lot more fun to swim in! There are animations and social events for kids around the campsite, so this place is awesome if you are going there with children. There is a cute little train that takes visitors around town. The restaurant choices outside the campsite is fairly good, considering this is in a tourist area. There is also a cute restaurant on the campsite and an ice-cream parlour right next to the lake. We tried another restaurant right next to the campsite, called "le restaurant du tennis", and they have awesome pizza.

Activities are endless, to name a few; there is a tennis court, a volleyball court, boating school, where you can rent a boat/kayak or even learn how to ride one, or simply join the boat that takes visitors to our neighbour country, France. Toilets are normal UK style with paper and all the facilities are kept very clean.

We went to this campsite because it is literally in front of our apartment. The reason why we wanted to give it a try is that this was going to be the first time that we camped in Switzerland. I mean we have been camping for the past 6 years, but in Canada and the States. So we wanted to have a general idea of camping in Switzerland, and what better way to try it out when it is right in front of your home. Most people as you can see have do their camping with mobile homes since they are coming from far away, we had our pop up tent which we used for this campsite since we are really close to home. This camping experience was really different for us, going back and forth to our apartment and getting things we need. It was different and awesome!

The views of the lake with the mountains in the back is absolutely beautiful. We get to see that everyday! Specially in the month of may, when there is the tulip festival in which the tulips look even nicer with the landscape.

If you are in Switzerland, and looking for a campsite with beautiful views and endless facilities well then this is a great place for you and I would recommend it.
